We believe that wearing uniform helps children to feel part of our Ravenfield Primary Academy family.  It helps them to understand that they are in a formal, purposeful, learning environment and prepares them for expectations at secondary school and the world of work.  We ask parents to agree to send their children in the correct uniform so that they feel part of the learning community of Ravenfield.

Your child can wear uniform purchased from anywhere with or without the school logo.  You can buy embroidered uniform from Ella Bella in Bramley, Tesco on line, A-Print in Wickersley or from Pinders inside Rotherham Town Centre bus station. We ask that, other than small logos on PE kit (for example a logo swoosh), your child wears either plain uniform or that with the school logo only.  Embroidered badges with our Logo can be purchased from the school office.

GENERAL

• Red Sweatshirt/Cardigan
• White Shirt/White or Red Polo Shirt
• Black/Grey Trousers
• Black/Grey Dresses
• Plain Flat Black Shoes

WINTER

• Grey Trousers or skirt 
•  Dark socks/plain grey or black tights

SUMMER

• Tailored Shorts with dark socks
• Red Gingham Dress with white socks
• Sandals with socks

Book bags and badges can be purchased from the school office or from A-Print.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Kit

Children are expected to come to school on PE days wearing full school uniform. They should bring their full PE kit in a bag. Our full kit includes:

• White T-Shirt
• Black/Navy Shorts (Appropriate length. Not cycling shorts)
• Suitable footwear (Pumps/Trainers)
• Dark (black or navy) Sweatshirt and Jogging Bottoms for Outdoor PE

Borrowing kit is not always possible. Therefore, if your child does not have the correct kit, they may not be able to participate in the lesson and therefore must go to another class.

Jewellery

It is essential that all jewellery is removed prior to PE lessons. Unfortunately, we cannot put tape around earrings and adults cannot support children with removing earrings. Therefore, please ensure earrings are not worn on PE days (including clear plastic/surgical earrings).
